The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Technical Manager to lead technical operations, product quality oversight, and distributor support across its global network.

This role serves as the technical backbone of the organization, ensuring product reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence before equipment reaches clinical environments. The position combines leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and strategic oversight in a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities

Drive operational excellence and ensure mission-critical product reliability across a global network.

Distributor & Field Support

Lead technical support, troubleshooting, and training for global distributors

Provide rapid-response technical support across phone and digital channels

Validate product installations and support sales teams in the field

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Analyze failure trends and drive continuous product improvement

Oversee warranty evaluations

Manage customer return assessments and reliability reporting

Regulatory Compliance

Maintain full lifecycle control of technical documentation and SOPs

Ensure compliance with strict ISO, FDA, and GMP standards

Maintain technical records and nonconformity reporting processes

Operations & Maintenance

Perform precise pre-distribution inspections

Execute complex product validation testing protocols

Develop preventive maintenance programs for equipment and facilities

Leadership Scope

Strategic and operational team management including:

Lead a small technical team including engineers and technicians

Act as a hands-on leader and technical mentor

Report directly to executive leadership

Serve as a key advisor on product quality and risk management

Work Environment & Skills

On-site role based in Miami, Florida

Work within manufacturing and warehouse environments

Hands-on interaction with medical instrumentation

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly

Strong expertise in document control

Advanced troubleshooting and calibration skills

Regulatory Environment

Experience navigating and complying with FDA regulations

Expertise operating within ISO 13485 quality standards

Expertise operating within ISO 9001 frameworks

Strong familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or related field

2+ years of experience in medical device technical support or service

Extensive exposure to highly regulated industry environments

Ability to travel internationally when required
