The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Security Account Manager to drive revenue growth across a strategically important Midwest / North Central territory. This role is responsible for managing and expanding relationships within enterprise accounts while developing new business opportunities focused on cybersecurity, DDoS protection, Network Detection & Response (NDR), threat intelligence, cloud security, and related network security solutions.

The successful candidate will own the customer relationship, lead complex sales cycles, and work closely with Sales Engineers and channel partners to help customers solve critical security and operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Drive technical sales strategies and deliver mission-critical solutions to enterprise accounts.

Territory & Pipeline

Develop and execute territory plans focused on enterprise customers across the Midwest / North Central region
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through strategic prospecting and account development
Expand existing accounts while pursuing new logo acquisition

Customer Engagement

Develop relationships with CISOs, CIOs, executive leadership teams, and key technical stakeholders
Identify customer business challenges and align cybersecurity solutions to business outcomes
Position cybersecurity, DDoS protection, NDR, threat intelligence, and cloud security solutions within enterprise environments

Sales Execution & Collaboration

Drive complex sales cycles from opportunity identification through close
Collaborate closely with Sales Engineers to develop technical account strategies
Maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and provide accurate forecasting
Work effectively with channel partners and strategic alliances

Ideal Candidate Profile

10+ years of enterprise technology sales experience
5+ years selling cybersecurity, DDoS, NDR, threat intelligence, cloud security, or related network security solutions
Strong hunter mentality combined with strategic account management skills
Proven success selling cybersecurity, network security, DDoS, NDR, or related security solutions
Demonstrated history of quota achievement and territory growth
Self-motivated, disciplined, and highly competitive

Enterprise Expertise

Experience selling to Fortune 1000 and large enterprise customers
Ability to develop executive-level relationships and navigate multi-stakeholder buying environments
Experience calling on CISOs, CIOs, and executive decision-makers
Strong territory planning and pipeline management skills
Strong understanding of enterprise cybersecurity challenges and market trends
Bachelor's degree preferred

Work Environment & Territory

Candidate must reside in the greater Chicago area
Remote, field-based role
Territory includes Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, and Indiana
Travel throughout the territory required
Strong collaboration with Sales Engineers, channel partners, and regional leadership
